Earth Day 2015
We Joined the the world community in celebrating the Earth Day. Over 600 students from class 9, 10 and 12 gathered for a workshop on ‘Social Responsibility and Leadership’ "Individual Social Responsibility" "Videos on World Issues by the United Nations" "Discussion on the theme : 'Its our turn to lead'."
The students also participated in different group activities to learn about leadership, team building, public speaking and being socially responsible. The students spoke about water scarcity in Nagaland, corruption and lack of cleanliness in the town. The underlying message of the event was empowering the young students to be leaders in their schools, communities and in the region. The students joined the leading International Campaign, ‘A Billion Act of Green’ and each student committed and pledged to one of the Acts on the occasion of Earth Day through a placard Pledge.
