Secretary-General Deep Shankar Nath recently graduated in Commerce from St. Anthony’s College, Shillong. He has started various MUN clubs in Shillong circuit and contributed by imparting knowledge about the UN to the students and had taught the art of debating to young school going children along with his juniors in college. His participation in Youth Exchange Program, 2018, Summit, Kazakhstan, mark the stones in his puddles of dedication and hardwork. He has a profound MUN experience and with the same, this year he owns the responsibility of being the Secretary General for NEIMUN 2019. His love for sports, NCC, beatboxing and debating goes like a multiple coloured Yin-Yang! |
Kethosinuo Tepa is originally from Kohima, Nagaland. She recently graduated from the University of Delhi with Bachelors of Arts Degree in English Literature and is currently interning at Difficult Dialogues, New Delhi. This is her fifth year with NEIMUN and is serving as the Deputy Secretary General. She enjoys engaging with young people and providing them assistance in achieving their full potential. When not devoutly subscribing herself to the happenings of the world, she likes scrolling through the sites like Brain Pickings, listening to classic rock, reading books, or catching a power nap. |
Jahnabi Barua is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s in Horticulture from Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat. She has served as the Director General in AAUMUN, 2019. Outside MUN, she teaches spoken English to a group of underprivileged children in Nagaon. She started her MUN journey at NEIMUN conference, 2018. With her proficient capability of diplomacy, this very year she will be serving as the Deputy Under Secretary General for Communications at NEIMUN 2019 in Sikkim. he keeps on flowing her interests in the field of music, drama, painting and sculpting for which she has been able to achieve accolades at various levels. |
Abhishree Kashyap is a second year law student in National Law University, Assam. She is a strong believer in the power of Journalism and the ability of the Media in shaping public opinion. Her eye for detail and ability to capitalise on any situation has made her an excellent Press Member and that’s a committee which is very close to her heart. She is serving as the Chief of International Press Bureau for this edition of NEIMUN. Besides these, she is an art lover and everything that’s creative. |
Nikila Sogyal is a recent high school graduate from St. Xaviers School Pakyong, and is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science rom Maharaja Agrasen College, Delhi University. At the age of 19, she would be the youngest member of the Secretariat, serving as the NEIMUN 2019 Under Secretary General for Conference Management and Logistics. Having attended NEIMUN twice as a Delegate, her love for MUN has tremendously increased. When she isn’t debating or talking about politics, she can be found cooking or reading conspiracy theories. She is also a felinophile and loves her cats. |
Pratyush Pran Sarma is a third-year student of Botany from St. Anthony’s College Shillong. He constitutes himself as a ‘Democratic-Socialist’ and finds the likes of Dr B.R. Ambedkar and George Orwell his political mentors. While his passions lie in learning International Relations, Nuclear Diplomacy and Quizzing, he also considers himself a cinephile. Having been the Best Diplomat in four out of eight MUNs he participated in the North East Indian Circuit, he considers the continuous negotiations and deliberations at NEIMUN 2017 his best winning experience. He is performing the role of Deputy Under Secretary General for Conference Management and Logistics. He considers diplomacy to be an essential element of day-to-day interactions. |
Soboienla Longkumer graduated from St. Anthony College, Shillong and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Conflict Management and Peace Initiative from Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong. She is the Deputy Under Secretary General for Economic and Delegate Affairs for NEIMUN, 2019. She started her MUN journey with SACMUN 2016 and has been in love with MUNs ever since, for the platform it provides to youths today. She believes in getting involved socially in activities besides academics and encourages the same. Besides her interests in MUNs and public speaking, she is a loyal Real Madrid fan for the past 7 years, her other interest is football. |
Tajungrenla Longkumer is currently doing her under graduation from the College of Community Science, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat. Since her high school days, she has been involved with Model UNs. having started her MUN journey with Harvard Model United Nations. She will be serving as the Under Secretary-General for Delegate Affairs in NEIMUN 2019. She has interned with organisations such as NEIMUN and YouthNet. Other than MUNs, she loves following Arsenal Football Club and can talk about novels all day long. |
Ved Vijay Neog is pursuing his Bachelors in Agriculture from Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat. As an avid photographer and videographer, he finds his inspiration in the likes of Sebastião Salgado and Robert Doisneau. He has worked with National Geographic for 2 years and has now shifted to freelancing.
His MUN journey started with IIMUN 2016 and since then, there has been no looking back. He is serving as the Deputy-in-Chief for International Press Bureau of NEIMUN 2019. Ved is a prolific sportsman; while quizzing at the national level has only met his intellectual appetite. He spends his leisure time lost in old Hindi numbers, recipes for his sweet tooth and thriller novels. |
Rovino Livi from Kohima, Nagaland is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Comparative Literature with a minor in Childhood Studies from The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. She has been a part of NEIMUN for the past four years and is the NEIMUN 2019 Under Secretary General for Information and Public Relations.
Besides her participation in NEIMUN, she has interned at India Trail, a leading tour operator based in Kohima, Nagaland. She fosters a deep interest in multiculturalism, and is passionate about learning different cultures and languages. She is an ardent follower of Humans of Bombay, and enjoys collecting aesthet booklets and trinkets.

Jafrin Akhtar hails from Tezpur, Assam and is presently living in Guwahati. She graduated in Social Work and now is a social work trainee. She is carrying on with her founded social ventures named as Spread Love And Peace, KAHAANI Live and Yours Sustainbly. With that, she volunteers for organizations and initiatives with all heart and joy.
She started debating since her primary school days and later NEIMUN helped to share the gained experience at several schools and platforms. This year she will be serving as the Deputy Under Secretary General for Information and Public Relations. Being engaged in dance, theatre, sports, painting, debates and public speaking gave her a chance to gain regional and national exposure. She finds her escape zone in fest and event management. She has also spoken for Lok Sabha TV representing Guwahati, Assam. |
