Aditya Sharma SOCIAL ANTHROPOLOGIST UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD, U.K USG FOR GENERAL ASSEMBLY AFFAIRS AND CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT, NEIMUN 2015
“I started my journey with NEIMUN as the USG for Conference Management in NEIMUN 2015 in Guwahati. NEIMUN 2015 was a significant chapter of my college days. Although, I was never part of NEIMUN as a Delegate, I had the opportunity to witness the conference as a facilitator of the many life changing stories that it brought about. Through the months of preparation that our team put into the making of the conference I realised the sheer passion that drives the success of NEIMUN. I understood that this conference is motivated by a certain belief young people put into it. Before a delegate becomes an agent of Change, they go through a process of believing that Change is possible. Students from both remote areas and urban metropolitans grace this conference to weave together a certain belief in the world: that we are the change we wish to see in this world. I think this is my biggest takeaway from NEIMUN. No task is impossible, out of reach, or beyond measure, if you are willing to work for it. No individual is insignificant.”
