Preference to candidates residing in Northeast India
The following are eligible to be considered for the positions as NEIMUN Secretariat official:
- Current Students/Graduates/Post-Graduates who have excellent organizational skill
- At least 19 but not older than 27 years of age
- Fluent in English and Should be a citizen of India.
- Should be available to be based in the host state a week before the conference
- Should be available to volunteer from June to December 2019.
- The ability to communicate clearly and express thoughts and ideas in a coherent manner
- Experience in working effectively in a team environment
- The ability to prioritize responsibilities and to meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Should be responsible and Demonstrates pro-activeness with new ideas and follows up on initiatives
- Previous MUN/ NEIMUN experience l will be preferred however not mandatory. Selection procedure will not be affected by prior or no MUN experiences.

- Motivation Letter on “Why do you want to be part of NEIMUN 2019 Secretariat? Specifically mention the position you are applying for. Mention your skills and experiences you will bring to the NEIMUN Secretariat 2019”. Your responses should be typed and double-spaced with your name at the top. Each essay should be at least 400 words. Essays should be clearly written, well organized, and thoughtfully composed. Your essay responses will be the basis for some of the questions asked during the interview.

The entire NEIMUN Secretariat 2019 will be responsible for ensuring the admission of 200-250 delegates to the conference. This will be the foremost responsibility, along with the following assigned roles.

The entire NEIMUN Secretariat 2019 will be responsible for ensuring the admission of 200-250 delegates to the conference. This will be the foremost responsibility, along with the following assigned roles.
Secretary-General
- Bi-weekly meetings with NEIMUN Board to keep Secretariat deliverables on track and identify, discuss, and solve any issues preventing completion of deliverables.
- To ensure that the number of the delegates allotted for this year’s conference is met without fail.
- Prepare the budget for the conference together with NEIMUN Board and oversee the sponsorship plan and strategy.
- Oversee the preparation of the Conference Committees, themes and Speakers.
- Coordinate meetings, communication, and resources amongst the Secretariat to ensure that their deliverables are complete; and assuming or delegating responsibilities when they fall behind or are not accounted for.
- Build a strong and professional Secretariat team culture, and resolve interpersonal disputes between secretariat members, if they arise.
- Raise the profile of the conference among the Model UN community.
- Conduct weekly meetings with all the USGs and report necessary details to NEIMUN Board.
- Speeches during the General Assembly Opening and Closing Plenary sessions as well as the conference’s Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
- Attend all Trainings, google hangouts, skype meetings organized by NEIMUN.
Under Secretary-General for Communications
Deputy for Communications
- Manage the NEIMUN Outreach work. Liaise with Head delegates, faculty advisors, former delegates, former secretariat members etc.
- Coordinate the NEIMUN Ambassadors Program.
- Plan a strategy consisting of workshops and seminars aligning with Model United Nations, days recognized by the United Nations and execute with the help of the Ambassadors in their respective states.
- Organize school, college visitations and work closely with NEIMUN Staff from across North East Indian states and different regions of India
- Circulate the NEIMUN invitation package personally or via email to the schools and colleges for NEIMUN 2019 Conference.
- Co-ordinate with the other departments so as to reach out to more delegates from across the country.

Under Secretary-General Economic and Delegate Affairs
Deputy for Economic and Delegate Affairs
- Oversee all applications for the NEIMUN 2019 Conference.
- Monitor all payments from the delegates: Acknowledge the applicants (both individual and group delegations) and send details for payment and accommodation
- Prepare the country matrix, allocate countries to all selected delegates, send study guides and all other related documents from NEIMUN
- Receive all logistics + accommodation plans + travel plans for all the delegates from the Conference Management team and inform the delegates
- Answer phone calls and serve as the liaison between the conference and the registered participants and reply to participant inquiries on a daily basis
- Maintain the NEIMUN email account and be the point of contact for all queries, either contacted directly by the delegates or forwarded by the communications department
- Keep participants informed of all updates and materials needed to prepare for the conference such as webinars, pre-arrival packets, photo release forms, liability waivers, and housing requests.

Under Secretary-General for Information and Public Relations
Deputy Information and Public Relations
- Plan and execute a social media, print media plan for NEIMUN 2019 publicity and recruitment of delegates .
- Plan the advertisements for NEIMUN 2019.
- Create campaigns on social media’s to celebrate International days recognized by the United Nations.
- Initiate and make creative contents, and other related content building that will enrich the general image of the conference
- Assist in the formulation of the main themes and agenda of the conference
- Manage all updates on NEIMUN websites and related social media platforms
- Manage Humans of NEIMUN initiative.
- Attend all Trainings, google hangouts, skype meetings organized by NEIMUN.
Under Secretary-General for Logistic Affairs
Deputy for Logistic Affairs
- Coordinate on details related to the logistics for the conference: Conference venue and its arrangements
- Management of food, drinking water, tea etc. for the entire duration of the conference along with the logistic teams
- Work with the logistics officers (once they are recruited) closer to the conference days
- Manage the disciplines and code of conduct
- Maintaining medical kits
- Printing of Conference Handbook
- Plan and produce a travel plan for delegates to be uploaded on the website. Arrange all travel related work pre, during and post conference for the staff, delegates and speakers
- Coordinate the arrangement of Conference events, halls etc
- Should be able to be based/ travel to the state/ city where NEIMUN 2019 will be hosted.
- Attend all Trainings, google hangouts, skype meetings organized by NEIMUN.
Under Secretary-General for Social and Cultural Affairs
Deputy for Social and Cultural Affairs
- Manage all work related to Printings & Stationeries, equipments required pre and during the conference days
- Conference folders, pens, notepads etc
- Souvenirs
- Manage and oversee the details of the conference opening & closing ceremony
- Coordinate on the arrangement of the speakers and dignitaries
- Arrange the cultural events for delegates
- Manage other social events during the conference days
- Coordinate on the conference set up such as the stage, podiums, committee rooms etc
- Arrangement of Political Blocks, Committee and Tribes Dinner
- Manages the time and disciplines during the conference
- Inspect rooms during the conference to up keep the delegate code of conduct

Chief of International Press Bureau
Deputy-in-Chief of International Press Bureau
- Manage the International Press Team in preparing The NEIMUN Pinnacle Times
- Draft letters for schools and colleges and circulate and prepare the invitation package and Sponsorship letters
- Designing letter contents and brochures for the conference
- Assist NEIMUN Board in preparing the NEIMUN Conference Handbook
- Managing a team of Media Officers to produce photos, a Closing Ceremony video, social media updates pre conference, during the conference, and post conference
- Monthly articles on themes revolving around the agenda
- Start the plan for teasers and other video montages that will be used for promotion related to the organisation and he conference, thus overseeing all the visual communications.
