Our flagship, NEIMUN Conference is organised to encourage students on active participation and study of international organizations and global issues. We hope to advance the interest of international education through promotion of Model United Nations conferences across North East India. Our goal is to train future young leaders through the participation and simulations of the United Nations in India and across the world. NEIMUN is the first Model UN in India to follow the rules or procedures adapted from the Global Model United Nations Conference and the actual Rules of Procedure of the United Nations General Assembly. These rules are intended to comply with the UN4MUN initiative by the United Nations Department of Public Information.
To assist with the planning and organization of NEIMUN 2025 Conference and related activities, a group of young people will be selected to serve as Secretariat officials, similar to those in the United Nations and Organising committee. The roles are critical to the management of the NEIMUN Leadership Conference 2025

- The aim is to have a geographically diverse and gender balanced group of NEIMUN officials who will take on leadership roles in the planning and management of NEIMUN 2025.
- We aspire to create something amazing for young people. 200 young people between 18-25 engage and participate in NEIMUN conferences and programmes every year. It is truly an enriching and memorable experience, and we believe that it is something special for someone to say that they helped run a NEIMUN conference.
- Giving opportunities to youths, NEIMUN is organized, run, and staffed by young volunteers alone. We are looking for current college students, graduates and post graduates (recent grads) passionate to make a difference.

Preference to candidates residing in Northeast India.
The following are eligible to be considered for the positions as NEIMUN Secretariat officials:

Preference to candidates residing in Northeast India.
The following are eligible to be considered for the positions as NEIMUN Secretariat officials:
- Current Students/Graduates/Post-Graduates(recent graduates too!) who have excellent organizational skills
- At least 19 but not older than 27 years of age
- Fluent in English and Should be a citizen of India.
- Should be available to be based in the host state (Northeast India) a week before the conference
- Should be available to volunteer from April to December 2025
- The ability to communicate clearly and express thoughts and ideas in a coherent manner
- Experience in working effectively in a team environment
- The ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Should be responsible and demonstrates pro-activeness with new ideas and follow up on initiatives
- Previous MUN/NEIMUN experience helpful but not mandatory

- Motivation Letter on “Why do you want to be part of NEIMUN 2025 Secretariat? Specifically mention the position you are applying for. Mention your skills and experiences you will bring to the NEIMUN Secretariat 2025”. Each essay should be at least 300 words. Essays should be clearly written, well organized, and thoughtfully composed. Your essay responses will be the basis for some of the questions asked during the interview. (Note: Avoid using AI)
Short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview.
