“Outside of my unhealthy interest in Global Politics, Political psychology and social affairs, I enjoy progressive and instrumental rock, frequent cups of coffee and baking. When I am not busy with research on ethno-political conflicts, I love attending youth summits, conferences and part taking in youth led non-profit organizations.
I hope you will join NEIMUN understanding the objective of the organization and with aim to ultimately make a positive impact in the society we live in.”

“I have always wanted to be part of a non-profit organization working towards making a difference in the society. My inspiration comes from the works done by so many NGOs which have made a big impact in society through sheer hard-work and big sacrifices.
NEIMUN is surely a big challenge for me but I am equally very excited. Experience the joy and fun that lies in learning things together by joining NEIMUN”.

Aienla Lima Longchar
After graduating with honors in Mathematics, Aienla went on to pursue Master’s degree in Operational Research from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. She was the Under Secretary-General for Policy at NEIMUN 2013.
“I am immensely excited to be a part of NEIMUN especially because this organisation will be the first of its kind to be introduced in North-East India. I consider diplomacy to be my second love after my passion for writing, which I indulge in passionately letting out the closet-extrovert in me. I have been humbled and also learned valuable lessons through my experience working as a Peer Educator at the YP Foundation, which is a non-profit based in Delhi. Apart from these, I consider myself to be J.D. Salinger’s minion-in-training and being a Chelsea FC fan often brings out the worst in me.”

Likokba Sangtam
Likokba completed his Masters in Media and Cultural Studies from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and Bachelors in History from Patkai Christian College, Nagaland. Before joining the Model UN he was hugely involved in State and national level debates and part of the editorial teams for his college and university magazines. He was the Under Secretary-General for Delegate Affairs at NEIMUN 2013.
“My daily dosage is to update myself with new stories and information. I love to engage myself in making short films and documentaries to create awareness and educate people. Debating is what I love most provided I have the proper platform and addresses a valid issue. Model United Nations does not only present the global issues on the table for discussions but the skill that one develops in the process of MUN-ing refines ones persona. I personally hope NEIMUN will refine and define all those who are ready.”

Meet Christine, the Under Secretary-General for Logistics at NEIMUN 2013. Currently working in Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Nagaland; she is an avid propagandist of improving the education system in the state. She completed her Bachelors in economics and psychology from Mount Carmel, Bangalore
“That's the serious side of me. On the flip side, I love travelling to take a break and bathing in the aura of a new serene environment. Drawing a line between pleasure and work is definitely a productive art worth fostering.
I hope NEIMUN will give you a wonderful experience and I assure you that anyone truly interested will take back skills honed in a refreshing new exposure!”

Ben has a Masters degree in Social work from Tata institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and Bachelors in Economics.
“As a member of different societies and as a President of Naga Students Union Mumbai, I have had the opportunity to travel around India all throughout my student years. This has exposed me to the gross injustice and diabolical realities that we exist in. After completing my masters concentrated in Criminology and Justice, I found Model United Nations to be the perfect platform for me to start working for a better world and at the same time, meet fellow citizens of the world who believe in good causes. “

Keyi is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from The National Institute of Homoeopathy Kolkata and he completed his 10+2 from Kohima Science College. He is a fan of good writing and reading and currently he writes for poumainaga.com as a columnist.
“I take pleasure in writing on simple things in life which when uncovered, lights up to give a different picture. It’s all about finding humour in the most serious of matters and seriousness in the silliest of all. I also take pleasure in travelling and experiencing the life styles of different communities, their thoughts and their ways of surviving in this politically divided world.
And so, I find Model United Nations to be a platform where my passion meets the reality of the day. It overwhelms me to be a part of the NEIMUN secretariat and I'm look forward to all the thrilling moments that awaits us in the coming conference.
Let the good times roll. See you all at NEIMUN”
