Nikila Sogyal Bhutia is a 4th-year law student from Sikkim, currently studying in Bangalore.
As a Tibetan-Sikkimese, she takes great pride in her multicultural background, which she says influences her dedication to social justice and community service. She previously contributed as the USG for the Conference Management Department over the past two editions. In addition to her role with NEIMUN, she has also interned for Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan. When free, she enjoys cooking and supporting Arsenal (and obviously banter). She is also a super proud cat mom to her cat, Motilal. |
Kevithuto Neikha is a Political Science graduate from St. Joseph's College, Jakhama, Nagaland, and is currently in his senior year pursuing an LL.B. in Business Law from Guwahati. Neikha's journey with NEIMUN began in 2018 as a delegate, where he earned the Best Delegate award. Since then, he has participated in various other MUNs, including the India International MUN, Assam Agricultural College MUN, and Asia Youth International MUN. In the 10th Anniversary Edition of the NEIMUN Conference, he served as the Deputy USG for Publicity and Delegate Outreach.
Born and raised in Kohima, Nagaland, Neikha has a deep affection for his hometown and enjoys taking long walks, admiring the picturesque mountains. A proud dog lover, he loves to talk about his dogs wherever he goes. |
Mayukh Dutta pursued his graduation in English Literature from Ramjas College, Delhi University and is currently based in Delhi. He hails from Assam and he started his journey with NEIMUN in 2018 as a delegate. He has a knack for poetry, something that he enjoys writing and performing. He has written over 200 poems, some that he has performed on stage and a few that have found their place in digital journals and magazines, and can also be seen on most days dreaming about his big breakthrough. He is also a published film and anime critic and has well over 500 published articles to his name.
His interest in debate has also taken him to national debates and MUNs, and he has been a part of NEIMUN since 2018 to share his passion for the same with the youth of North East India. He also takes a keen interest in research and hopes to fulfill his ‘one research paper every two months’ dream come true someday. |
Sanenaienla Mayang hails from Nagaland and is a graduate in English from the University of Delhi. She began her journey with NEIMUN in 2018 and joined the International Press Bureau in the following year. Learning the essence of leadership and public policy, she has volunteered for Vidya Vistar Nagaland and collaborated with Sophia Foundation since 2017.
Sanen also shares a passion in music where she holds a degree in vocals from the Rock School of London. Currently working with the Department of School Education Nagaland, she believes that education is the first step in the development of a society and its people. With a keen interest in writing, she draws inspiration through different social and political episodes of the world and published her book of poetry. On a random day, it is most likely to find her glued to a Wes Anderson movie. |
Catherine Lalmalsawmi is a graduate from St. Stephens College, Delhi, hailing from Mizoram. She was the President of the St. Stephen’s North East Society, with an aim to highlight the region. Her academic journey took her to Japan, where she recently completed an exchange program at Soka University, where she delved into Peace Studies and engaged in multiple dialogues on the concept of positive peace, nuclear proliferation, gendered dimensions of violence, and social justice.
She also finds solace and inspiration in the power of words, both written, spoken or unspoken. On any fine day, you may find her with her headphones on, soaking up the warmth of the sun and losing herself in a world of stories. |
Ayush Bhattarcharjee is a recent graduate from St. Joseph’s University, Bengaluru with a BA in International Relations and Public Policy. Since 2017, Ayush has participated in NEIMUN as a delegate, stepping up to serve as a USG for Web & Design in 2023. He currently interns at the Centre for National Security Studies, MS Ramaiah University, and the Foreign Policy Research Institute, New Delhi. At university, along with his peers, he helped build the Association for Students of Public Policy, Peace and International Relations (ASPIRE) and the St. Joseph’s University MUN Society, while he served as Head of Design for the North East and Tibetan Students’ Forum.
A self-taught photographer and designer (uses Canva, sigh), Ayush is an aspiring researcher known for his creative brilliance. Despite his tendency to procrastinate and his frequent mindless thousand-yard stare during conversations, he consistently delivers exceptional work under tight deadlines. |
Tia Longkumer is a music graduate from Nagaland who is currently excelling as a singer-songwriter, performer, and music educator. Signed under the record label "Infinity Inc.,". He is also the Co-Founder and Head of Creative Marketing and Design at Elhi-Dak, a creative and marketing agency based in the Northeast.
In NEIMUN 2019, he was elected as the Chair for the International Organisation for Migration and he strongly believes in the power of mutual assistance and service as catalysts for uplifting one another. His passion for bringing positive change and uplifting the youth led to the involvement with NEIMUN. In addition to all the musical pursuits, he enjoys cooking and is an avid Harry Potter fan. |
Dona Basumatary from Guwahati, Assam is currently a third year student of Public Policy from St. Joseph’s University, Bangalore. Her journey with NEIMUN started as a delegate back in 2017 and she has worked with various debating and leadership programs since then.
She was part of the prestigious 21-22 KL-YES scholarship to the USA as a youth representative and cultural ambassador. Her solidarity for the North-East stands tall as she finishes her second term as the Vice President of the North East and Tibetan Students Association of her university. Dona was also previously part of the Indian National Swimming team and has a knack for good cinematography. Definitely an ambivert, while debating about mundane things, she can easily be one of the loudest people in the room! |
Kewitingwang Newmai completed his Bachelor's in Political Science from Patkai Christian College in Dimapur, Nagaland, and recently earned his Master's in Political Science from Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU), He is preparing for the Civil Services Examination with aspirations to work in administration in the near future. Currently, he serves as the Vice President of the Zeliang Students Union Dimapur (ZSUD).
Kewitingwang was first introduced to NEIMUN in 2019 as a delegate representing Venezuela and later contributed as a logistics team member during the 2023 NEIMUN conference. He is also passionate about movies, series, and football, and he firmly believes that Manchester will always be Red. |
Tiapong Tzudir is a young professional selected for the prestigious Young India Fellowship for Liberal studies with focus on critical writing at Ashoka University, Sonipat. He completed his Master's in Sociology from the University of Mumbai in 2023.
Tzudir also distinguished himself as a student leader, actively contributing to student communities in both Delhi and Mumbai while also assisting in social causes to support students. |
Abhijit Paul was born and brought up in Dimapur, Nagaland and has always been active in various co-curricular activities, along with a good academic record. He has won many school, college level competitions most notable one as the first runner up for the Morung Express Open debate in 2019,he has also actively contributed to the student council throughout his undergraduate studies.
Apart with his regular academics he has also studied satellite imaging, coding, simulations and pharmaceutical chemistry as well. With a good number of MUN's, his keen interest has always been UNSC and CCC committees. Abhijit is currently perusing his Ph.D in Chemistry at Assam University. |
Luke Lego is an aspiring linguist and Biomedical Engineering student at Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey, USA. His academic interests span Biomimetics, Synthetic Biology, Neuroscience, Public Health, and Genetics (CRISPR). Luke is a co-founder of the Northeastern Centre for High School Research (NECHR), promoting research among high school students in Northeast India. He also co-founded the Tani Language Foundation, supported by the Endangered Languages Project, to preserve the Tani language.
An avid leaf collector with a personal herbarium of over 250 plant species, Luke enjoys reading, mountain biking, and playing badminton. He is also involved in Shui Aseng, a New York-based biomedical startup focused on personalized healthcare, which recently received $7,000 in seed funding. |
Born and raised in a rural village near Bangladesh, Meaibanshngain Diengdoh has risen above his humble beginnings to become a dedicated and compassionate educator. After losing his parents at a tender age, he went on to graduate in Economics from Shillong College, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership skills as a class representative.
Now, as a primary school teacher, Meaibanshngain pours his heart and soul into nurturing young minds. His students cherish his guidance and affection, and he finds joy in their growth and development. In his free time, he enjoys singing and reading, which bring him peace and inspiration. |
Songja Tisso is from Diphu in the Karbi Anglong district of Assam. He initially pursued a Bachelor of Architecture at NIT Silchar but later decided to continue his studies with a B.Sc. from Diphu Government College.
Currently, he is active in the Karbi Students Association, serving as the Publicity Secretary. He was also an active delegate in the 10th anniversary edition NEIMUN 2023. |
Michael Maningdouba hails from Manipur. He completed his schooling from Sainik school Imphal and his graduation from the University of Delhi in the subject of Political Science. During his college days, He has been a part of various Students` Organisation and has also held the post of President for Northeast Students Society Delhi University. He has been a part of Delhi Police representative for northeast people (DPNER).
He has keen Interest in Topics of International Relations, during his free time, He finds himself reading books or Outdoor Activities like Hiking and Playing Football. Joining NEIMUN for the first time,he believes that it will help give him a boost, both personally and professionally. |
Devoleena Borah, from Jorhat, Assam, holds a BA in Political Science Honours from Lady Keane College, Shillong. Passionate about international relations and diplomacy, she draws inspiration from Machiavelli's strategic thinking and S. Jaishankar's leadership. Her experience in Model United Nations conferences has sharpened her skills in research, public speaking, and negotiation.
In her spare time, she enjoys knitting and embroidery, which enhance her attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Devoleena aspires to become a diplomat, representing India with dedication and distinction. |
Razouletuo Noudi from Nagaland, is a 2nd-year MBA student at IIT Roorkee. He also has a Computer Science degree from Kohima Science College, Nagaland. At IIT Roorkee, he holds leadership positions in the Media & PR Cell, Admission Committee, and Himalayan Explorer Club. He has internship experience in IT and Analytics from NagaEd and NatWest Group (RBS) respectively.
Razou combines hard and soft skills from his academic background, internships, and community service. An active NCC Cadet during his undergraduate years, he is passionate about community building and creating impact. He enjoys sports and football and is always up for coffee and engaging conversation. |
Imnanaro Kichu is from Kohima,Nagaland. She has completed her Bachelor’s in English from KROS College and currently preparing for Civil Services Exams as she aspires to become a civil servant. She enjoys listening to podcasts and documentaries in her leisure time.
She attended the NEIMUN 2023 conference as a delegate and described her experience as "NEIMUN was an unexpected but the best decision I made in 2023. I met so many intellectual and inspiring individuals." With the same enthusiasm she had as a delegate, she is eager to share her experience with young minds, highlighting how NEIMUN has impacted her life. She looks forward to connecting with others, learning new skills, expanding her knowledge, and growing alongside NEIMUN. |
Tiano was born and brought up in Kohima Nagaland. She completed her schooling at G. Rio School Kohima, where she actively participated in the student body. In addition to her academic and extracurricular achievements, Tiano has been active in her church community, contributing her talents as a member of the praise and worship team.
In 2023, she joined Delhi University, enrolling at Maitreyi College to pursue a B.A. in Sociology Honours. During her time at Maitreyi College, Tiano was an integral part of various societies and held the position of Nagaland State Representative in the North East cell of her college. Driven by her growing interest in the field of travel and tourism, she decided to switch her academic focus. She is currently pursuing a BBA in Travel and Tourism Management at the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management in Noida. This transition highlights her passion for the industry and her commitment to expanding her expertise in this dynamic field. |
Born and raised in Kohima, Nagaland, Kekhriesino (Khriesi) Meyase is a second-year undergraduate at Ashoka University, Sonipat, majoring in International Relations with a minor in Media Studies and concentration in Entrepreneurship. She is passionate about design and film/video making, which has led her to intern with companies like The Jonaki and Excelerate. She is also active in college clubs, contributing to the Marketing and Multimedia team for Ashoka Women in Business & Leadership, Kalinga Magazine and is a member of the North East Collective. Her academic pursuits include interning with the Nagaland Education Project and as a Research Intern with the National Foundation for India. She was also a part of organising the After School program this summer to provide a platform for teenagers to explore opportunities and set meaningful goals.
