It was my first Model United Nations experience and I would recommend every student to be a part of such conference. Because it’s such an exciting feeling to meet so many smart students from all across the nation wanting to have their say in global development and coming together to bring about positive change. It help us judge the level of knowledge we have about our country and it’s social, economic and political problems and also helps us to hone up our leadership and people skills. United Nations is such a prestigious organisation working for human development ever since and to learn about its basic functionaries was an enlightening experience. I am really glad I took part in the first NEIMUN conference in Kohima, it opened to me the different forays of United Nations, their organs and how different countries formulate their objectives and make draft resolutions for global development.
In short, it was one of the best three days of fun, friendship, education, memories, public speaking and inspiration of my life and I am sure students participating in such conference become richer in experience as well as in number of friends. Lastly, MUN conference helps you pack your bags and travel, which in itself is a growth! SUBI TABA Delegate, NEIMUN 2013. |
