Twenty years ago I spent my life in shadow of a big wall. I really wanted to jump off the wall and explore the human society. The path that I choose never led me across the wall. I pursued my undergraduate but I still couldn' t. In the mid of my master programme, I came across NEIMUN. In the first place I question what Model United Nations is all about. But Suddenly I was driven to be part of the first NEIMUN conference 2013 in Kohima. In the beginning of the conference I was so terrified to speak out in front of the audiences. But NEIMUN council members and trainers taught and trained me how to deliver effective talk in the short period of time given, how to make diplomatic solutions for the critical problems, diplomacy writing skills and developed group discussion skills. Despite all of my weakness I was awarded the "Diplomacy award" in the first session of NEIMUN conference 2013. This made me feel as if I had managed to jump of f the wall. Being in SPECPOL committee I was exposed to country policy making, critical analysis, controversial discussion and critical decision making. NEIMUN is a very special platform for students to learn more about the UN, functionaries and most importantly its a forum where youth can come together and discuss world issues, molding youths for better tomorrow. NEIMUN has motivated and changed my personality. Today I have formed the Loyola North East Students Forum (LNESF) in Loyola college for the first time. By God's grace I have become one of the most influential Phd REsearch scholar in Loyola college, Chennai. Because of what NEIMUN has trained me, I am able to contribute to the society more effectively. I pray that NEIMUN may produce many good leaders. Thank you NEIMUN for giving me an opportunity to share my experience. Long Live NEIMUN!
